Underpass at Ghazipur to ease traffic
With the Delhi government’s PWD department throwing open the Ghazipur underpass for public on Friday, commuters coming from Ghaziabad to Anand Vihar can expect a smooth ride. The underpass will act as a gateway between east Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
The underpass, along with two carriageways, has been built at Ghazipur intersection from road no 56 to Kalyanpuri. Currently the traffic moves at a snail’s pace on the stretch. The underpass has been constructed along the road no 56 to ensure uninterrupted movement of traffic on these roads. It is 635-metre-long with dual carriageway of nine metres in each direction. PWD minister Raj Kumar Chauhan said the three-lane Ghazipur crossing grade separator at NH 24 would also be completed by the end of June.
