Upset over fight, teen hangs self
A teenager allegedly committed suicide in the city on Sunday after apparently being upset over a fight with his brothers, the police said. The incident was reported from Shalimar Bagh early on Sunday and the deceased has been identified as 16-year-old Parminder.
The deceased’s body was found hanging from a tree in a nearby jungle by his family.
The investigating officers said that Parminder had an argument with his brothers and was very upset. “No suicide note has been recovered and we cannot say with certainty why he took the extreme step,” a senior police officer stated.
Meanwhile, a 12-year-old boy was electrocuted in east Delhi on Sunday morning. The boy, Harshit Budhiraja, a resident of Rajgarh Colony went to play with his friends in the nearby Rajiv Gandhi mini stadium.
“When Harshit went to retrieve the ball, he touched an iron box covering live wires and got electrocuted,” said the local police.

Missing girl found dead, probe on

A 14-year-old girl who went missing two days ago was on Sunday found dead near her residence under mysterious circumstances.
The deceased, a Class 5 student, had gone to the weekly market on Friday from where she went missing and her body was found in the bushes in Kadipur area of Swaroop Nagar on Sunday afternoon. Her family had lodged a police complaint on Saturday.
The body was spotted by a passerby, who alerted the police.
