Victims’ mother for further probe
A woman facing the allegations for allegedly subjecting her three children to acute physical violence on Friday moved a city court seeking a direction to the Delhi police to further investigate the case relating to sexual abuse of the minors by their school cab driver.
After taking the plea of the woman complainant Seema Malhotra into account, additional chief metropolitan magistrate Sunil Chaudhary directed the crime branch to further investigate the matter.
Seema, the widow, in her application sought a direction to conduct the investigation of the case properly as it involved the life of her three children. She also referred to the fact that her elder son Aman is untraceable since December 17.
The woman also claimed that she apprehended danger to her children’s lives due to a threat received from an associate of the arrested cab driver Lalit Ratawal. Investigating officer Arti Sharma, in a reply, said the matter is still under investigation.
On the other hand, the accused submitted that he had no objection if the case was further probed.
“It was mentioned that proper investigation required in the present matter where the children are drugged and asked to do certain acts which leads to heinous crime of child sexual abuse and in the report of the police. Let the investigation be continued and the same be completed expeditiously,” the court said.
