Woman, 32, jumps off highrise, dies

A 32-year-old married woman allegedly committed suicide on Monday morning by jumping from her seventh floor apartment at a residential complex in Vijay Nagar area here, the police said.
The deceased, Ruby, a mother of two, lived with her family in Crossing Republic Society in Vijay Nagar. She allegedly jumped off her flat at around 10.30 am when she was alone after her children went to school and husband left for work. She was reportedly suffering from depression, the police added.
When security guards rushed on hearing a thud, they found the woman lying in a pool of blood. She was rushed to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.
Meanwhile, the wife of a retired general manager in railways was strangled to death at her Pratap Vihar home here by armed miscreants
She was identified as Vimla Manuj, wife of Ashutosh Manuj, who had gone to Delhi for some work, it said.
