We have decided to reward her as she helped us nab a snatcher, Ranjeet, who hails from Jharkhand.” The Delhi police has announced to reward Akanksha with `1,000 in cash and a commendation letter.
Akanksha was walking towards her home in Shadipur village from a fitness centre when the incident took place. “I was talking to my mother over phone when a youth snatched the phone from my hand and ran away. She maintained her hold on the snatcher till a PCR van arrived.
SHO, Patel Nagar, Ritu Raj and his team arrived at the spot and took the snatcher in custody. “Though my parents prevent me from confronting anti-social elements, I never shy away from teaching them a lesson for their misdemeanour,” she said.
