Woman dies while trying to board train

A 40-year-old MCD employee succumbed to her injuries after being hit by a train on Shahdara railway station on Tuesday evening.
The police said the incident took place when the deceased was trying to board a train. A GRP official said that the deceased has been identified as Premwati, a gardener

in the MCD. “In the process of getting into the coach, she tripped and lost control. She collapsed and died on the spot. Some passengers informed the GRP officials about the incident,” a senior rail official said.
