Woman strangles 8-yr nephew as revenge

A Class 3 student of Amity International School in Mayur Vihar was strangled to death by his aunt who held the father of deceased responsible for her matrimonial dispute.
The accused, identified as Shivangi alias Neena, walked into the Krishna Nagar police station at around 6 pm on Sunday and confessed that she had strangulated her b

rother’s son, Lakshya, 8, on Sunday afternoon. Neena told the cops that she had taken Lakshya to the top floor of Sitaram Apartments in Madhu Vihar and strangulated him there.
“She claimed that the body was lying under a water tank. We informed the Madhu Vihar police station cops who recovered the body. The accused was later arrested,” a police official said. The accused told the cops that her brother Rajkumar Gosai, a resident of Sitaram Apartments, used to taunt her husband, Sumit, whenever he came to his residence, and this had caused a dispute between Neena and Sumit. The couple have two kids, Rinku and Toni, and they lived in Rohini.
“Rajkumar disliked Sumit and used to humiliate him every now and then. This had created problems between Neena and Sumit. Neena was nowadays living with her brother after the dispute. However, Sumit used to visit her occasionally but Rajkumar didn’t like it and taunted him,” a police official said.
“Neena was in a state of depression. She believed that her brother was responsible for her matrimonial dispute and used to fight with him. She had even threatened him of taking revenge for the discord he created in her life,” the official said. Rajender Sharma, a relative, said, “Neena was suffering from depression. She always blamed Rajkumar and his wife Rita for her marital discord”.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
