Yamuna flows over danger mark, to rise
The Yamuna still flows over the danger mark and its level may rise by Tuesday on account of more than 2 lakh cusecs of water being released from the Hathnikund barrage since Sunday evening.
According to officials of the flood control department, the level of Yamuna was 205.39 m at 6 pm on Monday and may rise to 205.6 m by 4 am on Tuesday. Late on Sunday evening, Haryana released 60,000 cusecs of water and another 1.5 lakh cusecs was released on Monday morning. The Old Yamuna bridge, which had been closed for traffic was opened on Monday.
