Youth shot dead, another found dead

A 23-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Narela area of outer Delhi while a mutilated body of a 22-year-old youth was found lying in a park near Bindapur police station on Tuesday morning.

In the first incident, 23-year-old Sushil Kumar was shot dead by unidentified assailants in a market while he was purchasing some clothes along with his wife Preeti. The police said the incident took place at around 2:30 pm in a market in Narela.
“Unidentified assailants wearing masks shot two bullets at him. While one hit him in chest, other pierced his stomach. He was rushed to Raja Harish Chandra hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during the course of treatment,” a senior police official said.
The officials said the motive behind the murder appears to be personal rivalry as the assailants opened fire without any argument. The miscreants fled from the spot after committing the crime on a Pulsar bike, “We have registered a case of murder and investigations are on,” the official said. In another incident, a 22-year-old youth was found lying with his throat slit in a DDA park in Bindapur area of south west Delhi.
The police officials said the deceased, identified as Shyam, a native of Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, was found dead in the park with injury marks on his throat and hands. “The miscreants had slit his throat with a sharp weapon after thrashing him badly. Prima facie, it appears that personal enmity was the motive behind the murder.

Depressed man kills self

New Delhi

Dec. 28: A 21-year-old youth, who was depressed over the last one year following the death of his mother, committed suicide at his residence in Seemapuri area of north east Delhi.
The police said the deceased, identified as Kuldeep, who is reportedly a student of Delhi University, was found hanging by his father at around 9.30 pm on Monday inside his room. The incident was reported from New Seemapuri area and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The police said the deceased has left behind a suicide note in which he stated that no one should be left responsible for his death.
