Youth stabbed to death over affair

A 20-year-old man was stabbed to death in front of his girlfriend on Wednesday in Ambedkar Nagar, southeast Delhi, by five unidentified assailants who are on the run.
The family members of the deceased have alleged that the deceased, Javed, was killed by family members of the girl with whom he was having an affair for the past few m

onths. The two belonged to different communities. Police officials said Javed, a resident of A2/306, Madangir, was in a park in Ambedkar Nagar with the girl when five unidentified assailants arrived and stabbed him several times before escaping. The girl immediately alerted the police control room and Javed was taken to AIIMS trauma centre where he was declared brought dead. Police officials said Javed, who worked as an accountant, was having affair with the girl since the past few months. The girl reportedly belongs to a different community.
Sources said the two were planning to get married and had disclosed their intentions to their families. Javed’s father, Amin told the police that his son has been murdered by the family of the girl, as they were against Javed’s relation with their daughter.
