Don’t let success change your core
You are a well-known person. How difficult is it for a celebrity to find balance in normal life when one is under constant public scrutiny? Would you have preferred a normal life, like many others?
Harleen
A. There are many celebrities like me who do not take things very seriously. The thing I like about myself is the fact that I’ve not gotten affected by success in one sense. I have retained everything about myself that I value, that my parents value, and have not changed the basic core of who I am. I love what I do and probably the fact that I get to do what I love. It overpowers every other issue that comes with it. I’m blinded by the joy of being able to be true to myself, honest with my profession and get the opportunity to contribute to these aspects of my life and my family.
I’m 28 years old and recently got familiar with the art of storytelling/theatre. I come from a very different background where studies have always been given more importance than anything else. I want to take up theatre seriously. Is it too late? Do you think I can still do something? Can you please guide me on how to start — if I should start reading about theatre or take a practical approach?
Swastika
A. Well, it is very practical. In fact, it will help you take a new approach towards every other job or academics or any other part of your life. If you are passionate about it, you must pursue it. When you are a part of theatre or a play production, you have to rehearse for a few months for three to four hours and schedule your life and it would be a practical approach. It will help you get rid of feeling stagnant at your job or home or life and give you that extra push in everything that you do.
