‘I will make a film on politicians too’
Contrary to popular perception, I don’t think you are selfish — especially considering the number of people you have given a break to.
The term “giving a break” can only be used if I did the film for the sake of the person. But if I used him/her for the sake of the film, then that can’t be called “giving a break”. To make a film and use whoever I think will best enhance it, is doing it for gain — so I am definitely selfish.
Will you ever make a film on politics?
Most of the films I made were on politics. Company was about politics in the underworld. Sarkar was about politics in the family. But yes, some day I will make a film on the politics of politicians too.
What is the purpose of life?
If you are asking this question, you will not hear the answer.
You are so frank Ramu, and you have a comic sense too.
Oh great! It’s so fantastic that you’ve made this most brilliant and insightful observation. Remind me to make you an heir in my will for this enlightening remark.
Can I be a director if I am a very good judge and can explain things well?
Directing is not about judging and explaining. It’s about showing a direction to people who are judgmental and “explanatory”.
How did you go from being so careless to becoming so philosophical?
On the contrary, I became careless only after much philosophising because I realised that caring is what creates expectations and consequently, disappointments.
When you don’t care about others why do you even bother answering our questions?
I have an academic interest in the psychological deficiencies of specimens like you.
