‘Making love is about relishing an emotion’
When I read one philosopher he seems right and when I read another, he also seems right. How come?
That is because your capacity of understanding is lesser than both of them.
You said somewhere that your parents believed you were a useless bum! What was their reaction when you became successful?
They realised that even useless bums can be successful.
Can we scare someone to a point where he won’t be scared anymore?
Emotion is neither absolute nor does it progress linearly, and this applies to fear too. It’s always felt in relative degrees with varying intensities. So you can’t scare anyone to an extreme point — as then its nature itself has no validity.
Do you mean to say that there is no original contribution from Indian philosophers and that is why you’re into Nietzsche and Ayn Rand?
Arrey bhagwan! Mere yaar, first of all try to understand that it’s individuals who philosophise and not countries. Even if Nietzsche was a farmer from the West Godavari region or Ayn Rand was a teacher from Kurnool, I would have still idolised them. The Bhagwad Gita put me to sleep whereas Ayn Rand’s Fountainhead enlightened me.
What is the difference between having sex and making love?
Having sex is a physical function whereas making love is relishing an emotion.
Can you write about your experiences as a site engineer?
It was pretty boring — except for the times when women construction workers used to bend down in the course of their work.
What do you like most in a woman?
Her toes, her heels, her soles, her ankles, her calves, her knees — and all this in the lower part of her legs.
The rest, for space reasons related to this column, I will tell you some other time.
