All set for Indian sevens football in Kerala

Twelve teams will line-up for the opening season of Indian Sevens Football Premier League that is set to kick off at the Municipal Stadium in Kakkanad on Saturday.

As a prelude to the Sevens Football Premier League, a friendly will be played between Best of Kerala and African 7s, comprising players of African origin representing various clubs in the state.

The organisers informed that they plan to make it an annual tournament to popularise 7s football, which is not recognised by the official football bodies in the country.

Football Academy Kolkata will be the only team from outside the state and the opener will be played between Base, Perumbavor and Mediguard, Areekode.
