Dempo SC aim to regain I-League title

Panaji: Dempo SC are preparing hard to meet the new challenges for the coming season and the club has set its sight at the 2013-14 I-League title.
Talking to reporters today after unveiling their new jerseys for home and away matches of the I-League for the coming season, Srinivas Dempo, Director of the club, said in the past the team has fared well winning five I-League titles.
"Unfortunately we could not retain the title last year. But this year we are confident our team will do well under the leadership of new coach Arthur Papas who has vast experience of coaching in Indian condition," Dempo said.
"Our main stress is in youth development and very soon we are going to come up with new academy for the same," stated Dempo.
Papas said, "We have good squad mixture with youth and experience, coupled with foreigner players....The boys are working on fitness right now and understanding my philosophy."
