Panjim-based Don Bosco High School registered their third win in a row, thrashing Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, 3–0 in a league match of the inter-city leg of the 3rd Mahindra Youth Football Challenge at the Bangalore Football Stadium on Saturday.

Ryan D’Costa struck a brace, while Ronaldo C. Dias scored to guide the team to victory. Talented Elmer Seaueira was named the performer of the match.
In another match, boys from St. Joseph’s Higher Secondary School of Calicut beat Don Bosco High School Mumbai 2–1. Nathan Fernandes of Don Bosco opened the scoring, before Leon Augustine pulled off an equaliser for St. Joseph’s.
Gani Jafar brought home the winner for St. Joseph’s in the 38th minute, as the team sealed the game. Lazim Ali was the named the player of the match.
Later, Ashoknagar Vidyasagar Banibhaban of Kolkata and Greenwood International, Bengaluru, played out a 1-1 draw. Mohammad Habib struck for the Kolkata school, while Rishabh Agarwal levelled the scores for the Bengaluru outfit.
India’s talented Under-14 football players from leading schools across six cities are battling it out in the tournament.
On Friday, boys from Kolkata’s Ashoknagar Vidyasagar Banibhaban maintained their excellent form, winning their third match in a row, by beating DPS Vasant Kunj, 3-2.
Shanu Majumder, Umesh Das and Santanu Debnath scored for the Kolkata-based school while Sanat Gupta posted a brace for DPS. Delhi’s young Nachiketa Datt was named the best player for his efforts.
In other matches, Bengaluru’s Greenwood International School beat Calicut-based St. Joseph’s Higher Secondary School 1-0, while Panjim’s Don Bosco High School beat Don Bosco High School, Matunga, Mumbai, 2-1 to register their second victory.
