Action from the Mahindra Youth Football Challenge inter-city leg match between Greenwood International School of Bengaluru and D

Greenwood Internation-al School made the best use of their experience on home turf to register their first win in the inter-city leg of the 3rd Mahindra Youth Football Challenge, beating Delhi Public School from Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, 1–0 at the Bangalore Football Stadium on Thursday.

The victory came from courtesy of the goal scored by Varun Nambiar in the 25th minute. Aryamaan Singh Kunwar was named the star performer for his impressive performance.
In another match, Panjim’s Don Bosco High School trounced Calicut based St Joseph’s Higher Secondary School 3–2.
Leon Augustine helped the Calicut school open proceedings with a goal in the second minute but the Panjim team struck back in the 10th minute to level the scores thanks to Elmer Seaueira.
Javed Hassan increased the St Joseph School’s tally just a minute later.
But there was no looking back for the Panjim boys as Glevito S. Miranda posted two goals within four four minutes (45th and 48th minutes) to give his side a convincing victory.
Ashoknagar Vidyasagar Banibhaban, Kolkata, won their second consecutive match by pipping Don Bosco High School from Matunga, Mumbai 1–0, courtesy Suman Dutta’s winning goal in the 40th minute. Aaron Koli was named the star performer of the match.
