Goodwill, Veterans cruise

VVIP-Goodwill Football Club and G-Pride Veteran Club played out a 1-1 draw in the Delhi Soccer Association annual senior division open clubs league in the capital on Friday.

Both teams completed their Group I engagements on five points each, and thus qualified for the semi-finals. Goodwill emerged at the top on account of their superior goal average.
Ajay put the Veterans ahead in the seventh minute, while Goodwill restored parity through Nigerian Abdul Peter in 27th minute.
In another Group I match, Indian Air Force, New New Delhi, rallied to beat Solutrean-Hindustan FC 2-1.
Nigerian Silva Andrea gave Hindustan the lead in the 45th minute before IAF equalised through a header off G.S. Sandhu, nine minutes later. Substitute Vikash completed the tally in the 59th minute.
