India Colts lose to Dubai again

The Indian U-16 football team lost to Dubai for the second time in a row in a friendly ahead of their participation in the final phase of the AFC U-16 tournament later this month. The Dubai boys emerged winners 3-2 at the FA Stadium in Dubai.

The Indians started aggressively and scored in the 25th minute through Daniel Lalamphuia, who continued his good form scoring in his second consecutive match. However, Dubai not only scored the equaliser but put the Indians on the back foot with two more goals to lead 3-1 inside the first half itself.
In the second half, India’s repeated attempts on the Dubai goalpost finally produced a result when they were awarded a penalty kick. Alen Deroy made no mistake in converting from the spot as India reduced the margin to 2-3.
