India U-19 camp begins
The national coaching camp for the Under-19 girls football team began in the capital on Monday. The month-long camp is aimed at preparing the players for the Under-19 AFC Asian Cup, starting from October 20.
The camp will be attended by 45 girls, who will train under head coach Shukla Dutta, assistant coach Priya P.V. and goalkeeping coach Chitra Gangadharan.
The selection trials were held from August 3 to September 9.
Meanwhile, a national coaching camp for the U-16 girls — preparing for the upcoming qualifiers of the AFC Under-16 Asian Cup 2013 in Sri Lanka — will get under way at the SAI Centre in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, from September 16.
