IYSA enter U-17 football quarters
Indian Youth Sports Academy defeated DSA B Football Academy 3-1 in a Group E preliminary league match to enter the quarter-finals of the Delhi Soccer Association inter-academies Under-17 football tournament in the capital.
With the win, IYSA now have six points from two games.
Ashutosh opened the scoring for IYSA in the 5th minute, before Avinash levelled the scores in the 23rd minute.
Saannidhya and Vishab added one each in the 28th and 45th minutes respectively for IYSA, to complete the tally.
Earlier in Group C, Shimla Youngs played out a goalless draw against Chaak FA, while in Group D, Hindustan FA were held to a 1-1 draw by Delhi Public School FA.
Hindustan took lead in the 32nd minute through Manoj while DPS’s Sridhar equalised two minutes later.
Hindustan have four points from two games, while DPS have just one.
