Action from the Under-17 Subroto Cup boys quarter-final

Little Angels Paradise English School of Manipur came back from a goal down to thrash Chandigarh’s Government Model High School 4-1 in their Under-17 boys quarter-final at the Subroto Cup schools football tournament in the capital on Monday.

The Manipur boys were stunned in the fourth minute when Samuel found the net against the run of play to put Chandigarh ahead. The northeast team’s frustration continued to mount as they failed to break down the Model School defence through the first half.
Ramesh Chandra finally restored parity in the 46th minute and that opened the floodgates for the Manipur side, who then pumped in three more goals in another 15 minutes to complete the rout.
In another match, Cardinal Heenan Catholic Sports School of the UK blanked Daman and Diu 3-0 to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the quarters from Group VII.
