Modern School, Father Agnel win

Modern School Barakhamba, APJ School and Father Agnel School, Noida, registered wins over their respective rivals in the preliminary league matches of the 1st Delhi Soccer Association inter-school girls football tournament at the DDA Netaji Subhash sports complex, Jasola, in the capital on Friday.

Modern School, Barakhamba, posted an authoritative 5-0 win over Ryan International School, Noida.
Dhwani Kitchu opened the scoring in the 9th minute, while Mehar Kochhar made it 2-0 six minutes later. Dhwani struck again in the 19th minute, and Kabya made it 4-0 in the 32nd minute.
Nikita completed the tally in 34th minute.
In another match, APJ School, Noida, scored a lone goal victory over Sanskiriti School of Chanyakapuri. Diksha scored the winner in 9th minute.
Later, Father Agnel School, Noida, blanked Amity International School, Noida, 3-0. Seema (15th minute), Rebecca (32nd) and Anushiya (35th) were the goal-scorers.
On Thursday, Modern School, Vasant Vihar, got the better of Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, by a 2-1 margin. Modern School’s Ankusha opened the scoring in the 5th minute, before Army School equalised through Kudrat Mehta 10 minutes later. Ankusha shot home the winner in the 23rd minute to ensure three points for her team.
In other matches, Saket-based Amity International played out a goalless draw against Bluebells School.
Sadar Patel Vidyalaya and Step by Step School of Greater Noida were also involved in a deadlock (0-0) as the teams shared the points.
