SPG Football Club clinch national final

Delhi’s SPG Football Club clinched the national final of the Budweiser 6v6 Cup, defeating Arancia Football Club, also from the capital, 3-1 via penalty shootout on Monday. SPG Football Club will represent the country in the Budweiser 6v6 Cup in London later this year.

SPG’s Tushnik Thakur struck in the 13 minute, while AFC skipper Arjun Singh equalised three minutes later.
In the shootout, Abhinav Grover scored for AFC, while Rahul Bhardawaj and Thakur netted once each.
The event saw active participation from teams across the country, with the regional rounds held in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru last month.
