Spur them on Devils
If Manchester United were to pick their favourite opponent to play, Tottenham Hotspur would be high up on the list of preferences.
The London club has not been able to defeat United even once in the past 26 meetings between the clubs in any competition.
However, as United prepare to welcome Spurs to Old Trafford on Saturday, there is a genuine curiosity as to the outcome of the match.
Both teams go into the match having won their respective League Cup matches mid-week. However, Manchester United are sitting second in the Premier League, having won six matches on the trot in all competitions.
Spurs have climbed to eighth in the league after having lost and drawn their first three matches before winning the last two league matches.
Yet, United have not looked at their best at any point this season. Their win against Liverpool last Sunday was extremely fortunate and the United midfield has still not been able to dominate their opposition in any match this season.
The prospect of watching Moussa Dembele running at United’s midfield for a second club this season is also intriguing. Spurs will fancy their chances at hassling Michael Carrick and Paul Scholes, if they start.
PREDICTION: 2:1 to Manchester United.
