Action from the Under-17 Subroto Cup boys Group VI match

Sports Hostel, Tamil Nadu, rode on twin strikes from Prathap to edge past bt Krida Prabodhini, Maharashtra 2-1 in their final Group VI encounter of the Under-17 boys Subroto Cup schools football tournament in the capital on Tuesday. The victory ensured a quarter-finals berth for Tamil Nadu boys.

Prathap scored in the 45th and 46th minutes to put Sports Hostel in command, before Sunny Walke pulled one back for the Maharashtra team.
In another Group VI game, Air Force Bal Bharti were held 1-1 by Cardinal Heenan Catholic Sports College of the UK, but still managed to cruise to the last eight round.
In the day’s other matches, Steqlal High School from Afghanistan hammered Guru Gobind Singh Sports College of Uttar Pradesh 8-0 from Group VII, while Ukraine’s FC Dynamo Kiev continued their dominance in Group VIII with a 5-0 thrashing of Modern School, New Delhi.
