TFA cadets make way into top clubs
Keeping with the tradition of their placement record, the Tata Football Academy this year too was successful in placing all its cadets in the premier football clubs of the country. The 18 cadets of the present batch were roped in by the Pailan Arrows, Churchill Brothers, Mohammedan Sporting and Salgaocar SC.
On Sunday, the Tata Football Academy celebrated the graduation of the 18 cadets who passed out of the institution during its 9th convocation in Jamshedpur.
On the occasion, noted football commentator and analyst Novy Kapadia said that no other academy in the country had contributed as much for football as the TFA. During the event, Iran Khan was presented a silver salver for the best gentleman cadet award.
The guests present on the occasion were Tata Worker’s Union president P.N. Singh, AIFF director (national team) Subhankar Mukherjee, P.K. Banerjee, Chuni Goswami, Shyam Thapa among many others.
“It’s an honour to be a part of a function when 18 upcoming stars are graduating at the same time. I wish them the best for their future and hope they will bring laurels to the country and the Tata Football Academy as well,” said Tata Steel managing director H.M. Nerurkar.
He added that everyone should help to take Indian football ahead and assured all possible help to the TFA management.
