Golfers gear up for Hanoi meet
India’s top 120 amateur golfers will participate in Ballantine’s Team-Am Golf Challenge to be held in Hanoi, Vietnam, from October 15 to 19. This is the fourth edition of the international tournament which is played in a team format.
The series will witness 30 teams competing for the honours in three of the finest golf courses in Hanoi, all set in dramatic landscapes — King’s Island, Phoenix Golf Resort and Tam Dao.
“Ballantine’s and golf share a long history and are enjoyed together throughout the world. Ballantine’s Team-Am Golf Championship is an excellent concept to bring the best of amateurs to play at trained courses from around the world. Their passion for golf bridges the teams to make for moments which leave an impression,” said Bikram Basu on behalf of the sponsors of the tournament.
The previous three editions have been held in Chiang Mai (Thailand) during October 2012 with 182 golfers, in Kuala Lumpur during February 2012 with 110 golfers and at Hua Hin in Thailand in October 2011 with 92 entrants.
