Sharmila wins third leg

Sharmila Nicollet won the third leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf tour 2013 on Thursday, carding a one-over 71 at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club.

Overnight leader Sharmila, who staged a comeback on Wednesday, finished the tournament on one-over 211, two shots ahead of Kolkata’s Neha Tripathi (70).
Smriti Mehra, who led on the opening day, returned another disappointing card of three-over 73 for a total of 216 to finish third.
Smriti had double bogeys on the first and sixth, holes besides a bogey on the 18th against two birdies on second and seventh holes.
Rani Sonti finished fourth with a final round score of four-over 74 for a total of 222.
Delhi promising golfer Vani Kapoor (73) signed off fifth with a three-day score of 225, while Saaniya Sharma (74) was sixth with 226.
Bengaluru-based Sharmila started off with a birdie followed by a bogey to take take the turn at even-par.
Consecutive bogeys on the 13th and 14th holes marred her day, before a birdie on the 16th helped her finish the round at one-over.
Meanwhile, Neha, who was the only player to shoot a par round on the day, found birdies on the first and 13th against two bogeys on the ninth and 14th.
She finished with a total score of 213.
