Sunit takes charge at RCGC golf

Local lad Sunit Chowrasia shot a 2-under par 70 to lead after the opening round of the RCGC Juniors Cup, the seventh leg of the Tata Steel IGU East Zone Junior Tour at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club here on Wednesday.

Sunit was nine shots clear of second placed Upanshu Sekhar Ghose in the top category (Cat A & B). Another leading contender Raghu Bir Choudhary was placed at 81 along with Vishesh Khanna. Raj Ali also topped the Category B with Yashwardhan in second place.
In Category C, it was Hashan Rahman who took the lead with a total of 5-over 77 while Bibek Sardar and Devansh Chadha were second and third with an aggregate of 86 and 87 respectively. Sandeep Yadav emerged as the leader in Category D with 6-over par 78. Divij Sehgal was lying second at 92 while Rajib Ali was third.
Kushal Bagrodia topped Category E with 47 while Arav Sanghavi was second. Aryaman Chakravarti was third while Pranshu Poddar was fourth.
