Bloody weight loss plan

Dr Peter J D’Adamo ND, a naturopathic physician is God for many size zero worshippers at the moment because they believe his Blood Type Diet, which tells people to change their lifestyle habits and eat according to their blood group is fantastic. Celebs like singer Cheryl Cole, actresses Courtney Cox, Kate Winslet and Demi Moore are some of its fans.

This diet is supposed to enable you to make the right decision when it comes to your fitness regime and dietary needs.
On his website, Eat right for your type, Dr D’ Adamo says, “While you cannot change your blood type, you can use knowledge about its nature to implement a dietary plan biologically suited to your make-up. Most of my patients experience some results within two weeks of starting the diet plan. Increased energy, weight loss, a lessening of digestive complaints and improvement of chronic conditions such as asthma, headaches and heartburn are some of the benefits.”
If this diet has caught your eye and you want to know what it has in store for your blood group, here’s a brief summary on each group:

Type O: If you belong to this group prepare yourself for some intense workout as the doctor recommends serious physical exertion. And your diet includes plenty of dairy products and grains. He feels people in this group put on weight due to gluten which is found in wheat based meals. Even corn, lentils, kindney beans and cabbage are out.

Type A: Prepare to sacrifice non-veg from your diet as your body is said to be vegetarian friendly. Your workout regime should not be stressful so sign up for yoga and tai chi.

Type B: You are blessed with great health as type B’s are said to have great immune and digestive systems. So you fight off disesases very well. Moderate exercise is what you need. Swimming, cycling, hiking and any other activity which stimulates mental balance is what you need. Now for the bad news, chicken is banned from your diet as it doesn’t suit your body. Tomatoes, peanuts, wheat, lentils are also out.

Type AB: This group is the most flexible one as it is easy with both diet and exercise. According to the diet, this blood group evolved the last and is said to be a mix of Type A and Type B blood groups. So food and exercise is a combination of both the blood groups.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
