Excessive friction can lead to pain
Q I am a 24-year-old man and my penis is deviated — it tilts towards the left. As I have not had sexual intercourse yet, I am not sure if this will be a problem. Will it hurt me when I have sex? How can I make my penis erect so that it does not tilt in any direction?
No man’s penis will be straight at a 90-degree angle. There will be some curvature for everyone. As long as there is no pain when you get an erection, you need not worry. However, in a condition called Peyronie’s Disease there will be a severe curvature of the erect penis making it very difficult to penetrate the vagina. This may or may not be accompanied by pain. In this condition, there will be fibrous plaques in the penile tissues. This condition requires medical/surgical intervention. I suggest that you consult your doctor.
Q I am a 20-year-old woman and when I masturbate, I rub my vagina to satisfy myself but every time I do this, I suffer from stomachache a little later. Is there something wrong with me? Should I consult a doctor?
The pain experienced by you may be due to any one of the following causes — excessive friction to the vagina, powerful contractions of the uterus (due to deficiency of the female hormone oestrogen) and spasms of the abdominal muscles. It would be better if you consulted a doctor.
