Remove make-up before sleeping
Singer Cheryl Cole has one thing on her ‘to do’ list this year — she has taken a vow to remove make-up every night before going to bed. Chandni Raheja-Soni, a senior make-up artiste, says that this is a must for any woman. “There are no compromises when it comes to this. Your skin needs to breathe easy at night and that’s why
removing make-up is so important. The best way to do this is by using some cotton along with a make-up remover or some coconut oil. If you have dry skin, then you can also use baby lotion.â€
Here are some useful tips:
n If you have sensitive skin, use olive oil or a mild moisturiser to remove make-up, especially around the eyes.
n Sometimes water-proof make-up can be a little stubborn. Use warm coconut oil and a soft cloth to remove this.
n If you have dry skin, don’t wash your face with face wash after removing make-up. Splash some water and follow up by applying a moisturiser.
n For best results, apply a toner or astringent solution after washing your face. This helps to remove any extra trace of grease, dust or grime that may have collected.
