2,000 free tickets for Delhi fans

City hockey aficionados have a reason to cheer about as 2,000 complimentary tickets will be on offer for all the home matches of the Delhi Waveriders in the ongoing Hockey India League.

The tickets will be issued on a first-cum-first serve basis before the start of the match at the Waveriders counter at the Major Dhyanchand National Stadium in the capital.
Said Delhi Waveriders CEO Amar Sinha, “We would like to thank and express our gratitude to the city by keeping alive the city’s enthusiasm and support, offering 2000 complimentary tickets at the counter, for all the home matches. People can come and collect tickets on a first-cum-first-serve basis before the start of the match.
“We are confident that the city will rumble the stadium with hoots and shouts, cheering Delhi Waveriders, cherishing every sweep, hit and pass and be a part of our victory,” he said.
Sinha said the vision of Delhi Waveriders was to reignite the love and passion for our the national sport at the grassroot level.
Meanwhile, Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif will be seen grooving to her popular chartbusters as Uttar Pradesh Wizards’ first match at their home ground in Lucknow against Delhi Waveriders will have a star-studded opening ceremony this Saturday.
In a bid to add glamour quotient into the ongoing Hockey India League, beauties Katrina and Rockstar-fame Nargis Fakhri along with famous choreographer Shaimak Davar have been roped in by UP franchise owner, Sahara Adventure Sports Limited, to perform at the opening ceremony.
“Sahara India Pariwar invites all the ticket bearers of 19th January match to witness the grand, bollywood star-studded opening ceremony at the Dhyan Chand Stadium,” said the organisers.
