Akshay to enthrall Delhiites

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is set to entrall Delhiites, when he will perform at the Delhi Waveriders vs Punjab Warriors match of the inuagural Hockey India League at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in the capital on Tuesday.

The city-based league, which began on January 14 at the very venue, has seen stars like Katrina Kaif and Bollywood startlets Zarine Khan and Nargis Fakhri perform at Lucknow and Ranchi.
Akshay, roped in by the Wave group — owners of the Delhi franchise in the league — is set to perform during half time of Tuesday’s game, an official said. The actor has already lent his support to the league
“The league is about competitive hockey and the Bollywood stars are an added attraction. Akshay is a Delhi boy, and has earlier performed in the cricket league as well. He is a crowd puller,” an official said.
The league, in its third week now, has seen hosts Delhi Waveriders put up a spirited performance so far.
The team are placed on top of the points table with 27 points, and are followed by the Ranchi Rhinos and the Punjab Warriors.
