Anuj Minj scored a hat-trick as Army Boys Sports Company, ASC Centre & College of Bengaluru thrashed Combined-One Thousand Hockey Legs 3-0 in a Pool C match of the 30th Nehru sub-junior boys hockey tournament at the Shivaji Stadium in the capital on Tuesday.

The Bengaluru side dominated right from the word go, with Minj opening his account in the fourth minute. He scored again three minutes later to give his side a 2-0 lead.
With not much resistance shown by their opponents, Army Sports Boys struck in the 28th minute again through Minj. Unlike the first, the second half wasn’t too entertaining with both sides unable to score.
In another Pool C match, Shri Oswal Jain Sr Sec School, Alwar, Rajasthan defeated Entally Academy, West Bengal, 2-0.
For the Rajasthan side, Ramjan Khan drew first blood in the 29th minute, while Ritesh Yadav added to the tally nine minutes later.
Later in the day, Malwa Khalsa Sr Sec School, Model Gram, Ludhiana (Punjab) held Konjeng Govt Jr High School, Moirang (Manipur) to 4-4 draw in a Pool B match.
Lovepreet Singh (40th, 49th mins) scored a brace for the Ludhiana side, while Jobinpreet Singh (3rd min), Gurjant Singh (32nd min) struck once each.
For Konjeng Govt School, Yumlembam Nelson (15th min), Loucrakpam Johny (20th min), Mairembam Dinesh Singh (47th min) and Hemam Amarjit Singh (53rd min) were the goal scorers.
