Kashmir Gold Cup in August

The Kashmir Gold Cup hockey tournament-2013 will be held in Srinagar this August, said the organisers of the event — Jammu and Kashmir national sports club.

Besides, it also said the inaugural ceremony of the tournament will be held at the Polo Ground in Srinagar on August 26.
Speaking after a meeting of the executive committee of the club, president R.G.N. Wani said that leading hockey teams of the country are expected to participate in the tournament that will be played in league-cum-knock out format.
The league matches of the tournament would be played at Rajbagh playground, while the semi-finals and the final would be help at the Bakshi Stadium, he added.
