The Kapurthala side drew first blood — Sarvan Singh scoring a field goal in the 18th minute — and managed to hold on to the lead in the first half.

The change of ends though turned things in the Bankmen’s favour, who prevailed from there on.
Vikramjit Singh brought the equaliser through a penalty corner conversion in the 43rd minute, while Ramandeep Singh added another five minutes later.
Daler Singh struck the third goal in the 56th minute, to make it 3-1.
In the day’s other match, Indian Navy cruised past Canara Bank 3-1. Pawan Kumar (28th minute), Bharat Singh (52nd) and Liaba Singh (60th) scored a goal apiece for the winners, while Deepak (55th) pulled one back for Canara Bank.
