Ajay grins and bears it
The controversy surrounding Himmatwala might be going from bad to worse, but the film’s leading man Ajay Devgn remains unperturbed. The actor, who was hoping that the film will repeat the `100 crore success of his earlier films, has chosen to take the failure in his stride.
“One film cannot make or break an actor. I’ve worked for so many years. Hits and flops are a part of an actors’ career. Honestly, I believe that one film can’t possibly decide the fate of an actor’s career,” says Ajay.
The superstar adds that despite being a viable name in the `100 crore club, he doesn’t take figures seriously. “I don’t get carried away when my film crosses the `100 crore mark and neither do I get bogged down when a film fares badly. You can’t win them all. I believe in doing my bit and moving on to the next film,” he says.
When probed about the ongoing controversy, Ajay insists that he has been shooting for Prakash Jha’s Satyagraha and has had no time to read the nasty reviews about Himmatwala. “I work with filmmakers who I have complete faith in. One flop can’t hamper my equation and friendship with the actors and directors of my films. There has to be a certain loyalty.”
Point taken Ajay.
