Amy didn’t like the spotlight
The tragic Rehab singer Amy Winehouse died earlier this year at the age of 27 and despite her huge success, protege Dionne Bromfield believes Amy didn’t want to be in the spotlight and says her godmother was more interested in making Dionne into a star.
She explained, “If I didn’t have Amy I wouldn’t be where I am today. Amy never tried to take anything from me. The only gig she did with me was Strictly Come Dancing. She wanted the spotlight to be on me, she didn't want it on her.”
While Amy had a well documented battle with alcohol and drugs, Dionne, 15, isn’t worried that she will follow the same path because her mother is around to look after her.
She told Look magazine, “I’m a clever girl. I know what’s right and what’s wrong and I’ve got my mum keeping a close eye on me. She’s my biggest supporter and there with a pin to pop the balloon if it’s getting too big.”

Eva top paid TV actress
The Desperate Housewives beauty Eva Longoria, who plays Gabrielle Solis in the programme, and Tina Fey, who created and stars in the award winning 30 Rock, each earned a total of $13 million between May 2010 and 2011, $3 million more than their nearest competitors, according to Forbes magazine.
Eva’s Desperate Housewives co-star Marcia Cross, who plays uptight Bree Van de Kamp, was next on the list alongside Law & Order: Special Victims Unit actress Mariska Hargitay and CSI’s Marg Helgenberger, who all made $10 million each. Desperate Housewives stars Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman both made $9 million from their roles.
The Good Wife star Julianna Marguiles, who recently won the Best Actress Emmy for her role as politician’s wife Alicia Floret in the drama series, rounded off the top 10, having earned $6 million from the show. While the Desperate Housewives stars featured heavily on the list, it remains to be seen where they will appear in the future as the show will come to an end after the next season. —Bang Showbiz
