The 26-year-old singer Avril Lavigne, who has been dating reality TV star Brody Jenner since February, revealed she goes for traditional guys who are prepared to open doors and buy flowers for her.
She explained, “I like a classy man, a gentleman who opens the door and gives flowers and always puts the lady first. I’m a little old-fashioned like that.”
The punk princess, who divorced Sum 41 rocker Deryck Whibley last October, admitted she doesn’t like wild nights out on the town, and prefers to stay in rather than hang out with people who are into the “Hollywood scene”.
She added to Maxim magazine, “The only time I really ever get photographed is if I decide to go out with my friends to a bar or club, so it kind of looks like I do that more than I do. The majority of the time I stay in. I got here on my own. I came from a small town and grew up in a regular home. I know what I’ve worked hard for. I’ve seen a lot of people who have gone a little crazy and who are really into the Hollywood scene. I don’t really like to hang out with people like that.”
