Dabangg is out of the best film category

The first award ceremony in the year 2011 is gearing up for Bollywood with the preparation of the 17 th Annual Star Screen Awards. But the nomination of the award ceremony is shocking, because the two big hits of the industry are not included in the Best Film category. The blockbuster of last year, Dabangg, and the other hit of 2010, My Name is Khan, are not named in the best film category in this year’s Star Screen Awards. Instead, small budget movies like Udaan and Love Sex Aur Dhoka are nominated, besides big banner movies like Band Baaja Baaraat, Raajneeti and Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. Interestingly, both the Khans (Shah Rukh and Salman) will compete in the category of best actor for their respected movies. The list for the best actor category includes names like Naseeruddin Shah, Ranbir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan and Paresh Rawal. Surprisingly, the low-budget movie Udaan has got the maximum nominations — 14, followed by Ishqiya with 13 nominations. Dabangg has managed to get 12 nominations.
