Gabor donates turkeys to poor families
The 93-year-old Hungarian actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, who was recently released from hospital after being treated for a blood clot in her knee, and her husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt, have continued their 20-year strong tradition by donating the traditional birds to the needy ahead of celebrations next Thursday. The turkeys will be
given to the Vera Davis McClendon Youth and Family Center in Venice, California, which is where Zsa Zsa did community service after being charged with slapping a Los Angeles police officer 20 years ago. Frederic told RadarOnline.com, “We decided to make Thanksgiving a part of the people’s lives at the centre when Zsa Zsa was helping out and bought them all turkeys that year. Vera passed away a few years ago but we have continued the tradition of giving turkeys to the poor families that the centre helps support to make it a happy Thanksgiving for everyone there.”
