Gabor’s house saved by Facebook
Zsa Zsa Gabor’s house has been saved from foreclosure by Facebook. The 95-year-old actress, who has suffered a string of health problems over the last two years, and her spouse Prince Frederic von Anhalt recently put their Bel Air mansion on the market for $14.9 million as the sprawling property was too large for them to manage.
However, the couple defaulted on its $700,000 mortgage and the home faced foreclosure unless the payments were brought up to date.
According to TMZ.com, Prince Frederic took to Facebook to speak about his dire financial situation and ask his fans for help. One fan stepped up and helped him secure a $1.5 million personal loan, which he used to pay off the mortgage.
