Gerard’s reunion with dad
The 42-year-old actor Gerard Butler was raised up by his mother Margaret Butler after his dad Edward left her and him when he was just two years old, and he didn’t even know his father was still alive until he turned up one day unannounced.
Gerard, whose family emigrated from Scotland to Montreal, Canada, said, “My parents split up when I was young. My dad lived in Canada and I didn’t know he was alive. One day when I was 16, I came home from school and my stepfather, who at the time was just my mother’s boyfriend, said, ‘Keep your jacket on, your dad’s here.’ I started crying and crying and I cried for about five hours. It was a huge moment for me.” Following their reunion, the Machine Gun Preacher star went on great adventures to his dad’s house in Toronto, Canada, and enjoyed some “good times” with him before he passed away.

Charlie’s baseball donation
The former Two and a Half Men actor Charlie Sheen showed his generous side for an event organised by best friend Tony Todd, who says his pal was more than willing to hand over even more cash.
Tony said, “Charlie’s donation of $10,000 means everything to me and to our baseball programme. He had wanted to offer more, but I said that is way too much. This is the side of him that the media does not know about. He is always there trying to help others who are less fortunate.” —Bang Showbiz
