Girlfriend pushed Sam into acting career

Sam Worthington got into acting school because it didn’t interest him. The Avatar star, whose latest role sees him play a Mossad agent in The Debt, always dreamt of being a sportsman but he accidentally ended up in his current profession when he successfully auditioned for Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art to give “moral support” to his girlfriend at the time, who was rejected from the training centre.
He said, “I’d just screwed someone’s dream; it wasn’t going to last. I was 19, had travelled all around Australia and was ready to be locked in that place for three years. I’d never thought about acting and, in hindsight, that fearlessness was what the school enjoyed.” Sam only stars in movies he would go and watch himself, admitting he would never turn his nose up at a low-budget film because his participation is still the same.

Kelly bonds well with Tulisa
Kelly Rowland plans to work with N-Dubz. The former Destiny’s Child singer has hit it off with the group’s singer Tulisa since working with her as a judge on The X Factor and says they have discussed collaborating when the show ends. She said, “We’ve talked about things, and how hard it is breaking the US. I think she’s immensely talented, and I also think her band N-Dubz are pretty amazing as well. When the show is over there’s a very good chance we could all do a collaboration together.”
Kelly feels “blessed” that she and Tulisa have forged such a strong bond, though she is expecting arguments with her pal as The X Factor progresses further. She told new! magazine, “We get on so well. We have dinner, we talk about shoes, we talk about music. She has a really sweet personality. I’m blessed that the four of us all get on so well.
She is very strong-minded and I love that about her.” — IANS

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
