Katy Perry and Russell Brand reportedly spent Christmas apart because they had a “massive fight”. The couple, who tied the knot in India in October 2010, spent Christmas 7,000 miles apart, and the Last Friday Night hitmaker is said to have changed her mind about flying her family to the actor’s hometown of London for the holidays and instead opted to fly to Hawaii with friends.
An insider told Us Weekly, “They had a massive fight. She was like, I’m going to do my own thing.’ Russell replied, ‘Fine.’ Katy spent Christmas Day in a private villa on vacation with her friends, while Russell was in Cornwall, South West England.”
But the couple’s time apart has added to speculation their 14-month marriage could be set to end. A source added, “They haven’t split up just yet, but things are not good. The fighting is getting worse. The split may come soon, but they are both so dramatic and volatile, the relationship could become great again.”
