Mom’s beauty tips for Wilde

Olivia Wilde’s mother taught her how to be sexy. The Tron: Legacy actress, whose mum, Leslie Cockburn, is a producer on CBS news show 60 Minutes, explained her mother was instrumental in teaching her the art of being “sexy and attractive” but also “the smartest person in the room”.
She said, “My mum taught me a lot. Especially about how, as a woman, you can be sexy and attractive and yet still be the smartest person in the room.”
However, Olivia’s mother is not the only person to have an impact on her life. The 27-year-old beauty admitted House co-star Hugh Laurie taught her how to be aware of “little things” when she is portraying certain roles.
Olivia added to Culture magazine, “Hugh taught me how, as an actor, you need to be aware of little things, like how people usually look upwards when entering a room. Hugh is hilarious and arguably one of the best actors working today. I think I have learnt more from him in the past four years than I have from anybody else.”

‘I’d be a disaster in a rom-com’
Actor Daniel Craig, who has featured as British spy James Bond in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, does not think it would be a good idea for him to appear in a romantic comedy.
“I’m not about to do a rom-com. It would be a disaster. Good movies aren’t just funny. Good movies aren’t just sad. Good movies aren’t just serious. They’re all of those things,” contactmusic.com quoted the 43-year-old as saying. “In good movies, you should be involved in the characters. Not getting deep about it but I think that’s more interesting,” he added.
However, Craig admits he would like to see a little more humour in the forthcoming James Bond film 23, directed by Sam Mendes. “The humour has to come from truth, at how ridiculous the situations are. If it’s just gags for the sake of gags, I’m not interested in that. I want to get the wryness back into it. It’s a balance, because you’ve got to believe that he’s going to be alive at the end of the movie.” — IANS

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
