Sean is richest hip-hop artist
For the third year in a row, Sean “Diddy” Combs has topped Forbes’ list of wealthiest hip-hop artists with an estimated net worth of $580 million.
According to the magazine, most of Diddy’s money doesn’t come from his musical ventures, the New York Daily News reported. Rather, he’s built up a fortune through lucrative ventures such as his deal with Diageo’s Ciroc vodka.
Sean hasn’t slowed down since he was first crowned hip-hop’s richest by the magazine in 2011. In fact, his estimated worth has bumped up considerably from when he first entered on the chart at $475 million.
Rapper Jay-Z landed second on the list, with a net worth of $475 million, also keeping the spot he had in 2012. Andre “Dr. Dre” Young ranks third with $350 million followed by Bryan “Birdman” Williams with $150 million and 50 Cent with $125 million.
