Space for action and comedy
With the Ajay Devgn-Abhishek Bachchan starrer Bol Bachchan pegged as a remake of the Amol Palekar laughathon Golmaal, one would expect the film to be an out and out comedy. However, reports say that the film will be high not just on laughs — but also on action. And why not, when the director in question is Rohit Shetty?
The Singham director has ensured that some thrilling action sequences involving Abhi and Ajay will take place during the film, say sources. “When Rohit wants to make cars fly through the air, genre doesn’t matter,” quips an aide.
Considering that the original Golmaal featured not so much as a slap between its principal characters, how does Rohit react to the charge that his films feature excessive action? Rohit says, “This is not a court, where the jury is still out on me. Ultimately, a film should do well and if the package counts, then I won’t shy away from action.”
